The iHeartCountry Music Festival will return to Austin's Moody Center on May 4 with a stacked lineup of radio country stars including Jason Aldean, Jellyroll and Lady A.

Top iHeartMedia country music DJ (and former Austinite) Bobby Bones will host the show. It will be broadcast across iHeartMedia's country music stations. Here's what you need to know.

Jason Aldean leads 2024 iHeartCountry Music Festival bill

The show is a marathon outing that features top country hit-makers playing short sets. Jason Aldean leads the bill.

Last year, Aldean stirred controversy with the video for his song "Try That In a Small Town." The video intersperses footage of protests, vandalization and police encounters — the implied scourge of city life — with Aldean singing lines like "Well, try that in a small town/ See how far ya make it down the road/ Around here, we take care of our own" and musing about his granddad's gun. The Macon, Georgia-based singer shot the video in front of a Columbia, Tennessee courthouse that was the site of 1946 race riots and a lynching in 1928.

The video was pulled from Country Music Television's rotation in July following a public outcry. Aldean has repeatedly denied that the song and video are pro-violence.

Jelly Roll, Old Dominion, Lady A are also on iHeartCountry bill

Jelly Roll, the former rapper turned country gospel sensation, was the bell of the ball at last year's inaugural CMT Awards at the Moody Center. He'll return to the Moody for iHeartCountry alongside superstar trio Lady A and vocal powerhouse Old Dominion.
